Tugboat (tug) is a boat that maneuvers vessels by pushing or towing them. Tugs move vessels that should not move themselves alone, such as ships in a crowded harbor or a narrow canal, or those that cannot move themselves, such as barges, disabled ships, or oil platforms. Tugboats are powerful for their size and strongly built.it had Diesel engine.Carry 2 engine which about 3000hp each.
Last holiday trip are my best trip of the year, I have opportunity to follow captain Awang on his tugs boat routine Docking ship work in Sapangar Container Port, Sapangar Bay.
The tugs provides regularly scheduled in harbors to assist ships in docking and departure,transport, ship docking, general and specialized towing services. beside of beautiful scenery n landscape , briefing on the ship instrumentation n how the docking action are the most valuable experience i get.The communication between the ship are most importance on this job,the captain,pilot n his crews collaboration are main factor on completing the task. Skipper always smile n cool handling the ship (Highly Experience professional personnel).
