If the firewall is allowing a program to communicate through the firewall without your consent, or if you have previously created an "allow" rule, then the program will appear the advanced settings of the Firewall. From these advanced settings, you can manually block the program.
( Inbound : Block the programs from Receiving incoming info frm internet)
(Outbounds : Block the programs from sending info out)
Step 1
Click the Windows "Start" , and type "firewall" in the lower search box.
Step 2
Click "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security."
Step 3
Click "Inbound Rules" on the left-hand panel of the "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" window. Locate the program in the middle list. Right-click the program and select "Properties."
If you cannot find the programs you need to block >>> click New Rule
Program (make sure mark) >>> Next >>> programs path (browse) choose the programs
Goto C drive >>> Programs Files >>> choose the programs you need to lock
Eg. : %ProgramFiles%\Game 6\game.exe
Next >>> (mark) Block the connection >>> Next >>> Next >>> type grogram name that you block
Finish ( You must do the same step for Outbounds Rules )
That’s All skip step 4,5 & 6 (If you click step “New Rule”)
Step 4
Click the circle next to "Block the connections" on the "General" tab, and click "OK" to set the rule.
Step 5
Click "Outbound Rules" on the left-hand panel. Right-click the program in the middle list, and select "Properties."
Step 6
Click the circle next to "Block the connection" on the "General" tab, and click "OK" to set the rule.
Second Method (win 7 )
You might not know that several applications on your computer system may be accessing the internet without your approval. This can also become a security hazard as hackers may exploit your system using these applications. In order to put a check on the usage of the Internet by various applications and to disable the unsolicited internet usage of any such application running on your Windows 7 system, go through the following simple steps.
First of all click Start and choose the Control Panel, once you are in the Control Panel, choose theWindows Firewall option.
Once done, locate and choose the option Allow a program (an app) or feature through Windows Firewallin the left column of the Windows Firewall window.
Locate and click the Change settings button in the Allowed Programs window.
Uncheck those programs or features from the list, which you want to stop from accessing the internet.
That’s it, click OK and the unchecked programs will not be able to access internet without your explicit approval.
