Tugboat (tug) is a boat that maneuvers vessels by pushing or towing them. Tugs move vessels that should not move themselves alone, such as ships in a crowded harbor or a narrow canal, or those that cannot move themselves, such as barges, disabled ships, or oil platforms. Tugboats are powerful for their size and strongly built.it had Diesel engine.Carry 2 engine which about 3000hp each.

Last holiday trip are my best trip of the year, I have opportunity to follow captain Awang on his tugs boat routine Docking ship work in Sapangar Container Port, Sapangar Bay.

The tugs provides regularly scheduled in harbors to assist ships in docking and departure,transport, ship docking, general and specialized towing services. beside of beautiful  scenery n landscape , briefing on the ship instrumentation n how the docking action are the most valuable experience i get.The communication between the ship are most importance on this job,the captain,pilot n his crews collaboration are main factor on completing the task. Skipper always smile n cool handling the ship (Highly Experience professional personnel).

Year of the Tiger falls on 2/14/2010

   

February 14, 2010 marks the start of the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese Lunar Calendar.

The message of FU meaning Good Luck in Chinese. These banners are put up side down intentionally for this grand event of Chinese New Year.

In China, the natives greet each other on the occasion Chinese New Year by wishing Guo Nian Hao, which means Happy New Year. This can be used in the first five days of the Chinese New Year Festival.
Some of the common forms greetings that Chinese greet each other with are: Gōngxǐ fācái; Hokkien Keong hee huat chye which means, "Congratulations and be successful”.Niánnián yǒuyú is a wish for excess and abundant harvests every year.A night before the beginning of the New Year, the children in every household is given money in a red pouch or paper. This is supposed to ward-off evil.

People have their own amiable way of wishing one anther Happy Chinese New Year.Some do it by exchanging good words, some by sending Chinese New Year greeting cards, Chinese New Year e-cards and Chinese New Year cards. Forwarding each with Chinese New Year wallpaper is another way of wishing each other good luck on the auspicious occasion.People over the country wear color Red, which supposedly keeps the evil spirit at bay.People over the country wear color Red, which supposedly keeps the evil spirit at bay.

People also invite their kith and kin over lunch and dinner and have a family reunion. During the Chinese New Year Eve and Chinese New Year Day the ancestors and deceased members of the family are prayed by the family to look over their well being.

The Chinese Lion Dance has been both an unique and integral element of Chinese culture for over a thousand years. Wrapped up in various legends and folklores, the lion dance of China has some of the most fascinating stories related to its origin.
There are different myths about the origin of the lion dance but none of them have any real historical records. According to one of the legends many years ago there was a lion which appeared in a village and caused harm to the people and domestic animals. A Kung-Fu expert came to know of this and went into the forested mountain to fight with the lion. He fought with the lion on three occasions but was unable to win over it. So he trained some of the villagers in Kung-Fu with the intention to kill the lion. A few months later, they went up to the mountain again and killed the lion. The villagers, in order to rejoice this occasion of the victory over evil, followed the steps of those who fought with the lion and thus the much popular lion dance came into being. Another saying was that the King of China, the Ching of the Ching Dynasty had seen a lion dance in one of his dreams and he then ordered the guards of the palace to dance in accordance with what he had seen in his dreams after he woke up.

The lion in the dance is enacted by two dancers. One of the dancers handles the head, made out of strong yet light materials like paper-mache and bamboo. The other dancer plays the body and the tail under a cloth that is fixed to the head. The lion is attended by three musicians, playing cymbals, large drum and a gong. A Little Buddha teases it with a fan or a big ball. The head dancer can shift the lion's eyes, mouth and ears for different expression of moods. The lion dance is a perfect blend of art, history and kung fu moves. Normally the dancers are kung fu practitioners. Every kind of move in the dance has a specific musical rhythm. The music played is in the sync with the moves of the lion: the drum follows the lion where as the cymbals and the gong follows the drum player. Thus flamboyantly vivid and wickedly energetic, the brilliant lion dance bears witness to the vibrant richness of Chinese heritage.

Focus on One Resolution
It has been noticed that many people make a list of resolutions and try to achieve too much in too short time. Instead of trying to do everything simultaneously and getting frustrated a practical approach would be to focus on one major resolution. Choose that one aim that you really wish to reach in the coming year and chalk out a concrete plan to achieve it.

Understand that it takes time to change habits and lifestyles. Don't expect an instant success. If you fail, try again. But surely you need to keep the spirits up.

1st. Time With Air Asia

With rapid growth of our country,we proud to have a beautiful airport like KLIA, with demand of low fare  n fast transport,most of us prefer flight with Air Asia.

Me! Its my first time with this airline, b4 that i always use MAS our first airline service. Back to Air Asia, the terminal in KL at LCCT located at cargo area (Behind KLIA). the cheapest way to LCCT from KL city are by bus cost you only RM9. With the low fare air transport service from this airliner, we can’t expect best service n nice terminal. the only thing that i not satisfied  are:

Wifi service at the terminal,even thou it is free(its must be free in this era),they  not suppose to limit 2hrs free wifi to their customer,its importance due to this low fare airline always delay n not on time. with unlimited wifi service the customer at least can full use their waiting time, our government must look into these matter.

SEAT (most importance part). from feedback from frequent Air Asia customer until now they don’t know whether the seat are free sitting or according to seat number,this make a “havoc”  when on board. they should firm about the seat placement. from my first experience on the board of Air Asia,its seen that some air-hostess cannot handle this situation n make the situation become more complicated by asking the passenger to change the seat, one of the passenger been told by air-hostess that seat from number 1 to 5 are special rate,if the passenger insist to change to back seat they need to pay extra,this shouldn’t happen.these “havoc” can be avoided if the management follow by the seat number.many foreigner talking about the matter among them .it seem unhappy ,it show a bad image to our country.

So in near future i hope Air Asia can Solve the problems and give a best serve to their customer.

Do Airport X-Ray harm my Laptop

 

X-ray machine – Normally use to display of the contents of luggage, package or human body.the x-ray beams with wavelength in range of 0.01 to 10 nanometers,this wavelength or electro magnetic does not harm or damage electrical equipment / magnetic sensitive data.

This mean that Airport X-Ray machine will not harm your laptop or other goods like Digital camera, hand phone,Mp3/Mp4,External hard disk, PDA , Pendrive,Flashcard,Cd or other electronic gadget.

  

Note : Metal Detector can damage the above items, so u need to be alert not to scan with this metal detector.

Always carry the laptop on the plane with u, don’t ever keep your laptop in your luggage,it will damage due to unproper handling n missing.

From me n friends experience, Our Airport baggage handling are UNSAFE , so always lock the bag.Don’t ever keep the valuable item inside.
